We have our Halloween costumes pretty much figured out. I'm going to be the cosmic chick (yes, once agian) and Mike is going to be Eddie from Iron Maiden! Trust me, it's scary! We still don't know what we are going to DO on Halloween yet. I will fill you in. I'm not sure I look as good as Eddie...
Welcome to my blog...
I am currently working on a mega yacht in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. We plan on heading to the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, and the Caribbean for the winter. We made the crossing from Europe in October. Mike and I have had a great time thus far and look forward to our next adventures.

A hint of what's to come
We have our Halloween costumes pretty much figured out. I'm going to be the cosmic chick (yes, once agian) and Mike is going to be Eddie from Iron Maiden! Trust me, it's scary! We still don't know what we are going to DO on Halloween yet. I will fill you in. I'm not sure I look as good as Eddie...

Shout out to my babies

I just can't help it. I get a couple of beers in me I start REALLY missing my family (If you need my reasons for drinking beer: it's Sat, it's Carolina Gamecocks football (we lost), and Mike is watching Indy car racing). By family, I mean MY family i.e. my babies. I can talk to my mom, dad, and friends, but not my babies. I think this fact makes it harder for me to get over being so far away. For example, I caught Mike staring at me today. I ask, "why"? He says he is "being Dexter". I miss Dexter's stare, him just sitting there starring at me like there is nothing more in the world to do. Anyway, this is for them... Tucker, Dexter, and Monkey. Also to my extended family: Titus (my "little sister"), Smokey, Ernie, Burt, Sadie, Angel, and Benji.
Thanks again to my bestest friends in the entire world for taking over my responsibilities: Sarah, Julie, Dad & Wanda. I love you all more than you will ever realize!!
Sometimes I feel froggy...
We went to a very cool thrift store yesterday, where I purchased 2 new scarves! They are much needed here and I packed ALL of my winter clothes in my storage unit-in the WAY back and on the bottom!! I feel lucky to have gotten out of there with only 2 things. One is a traditional red knit Gap scarf, and the other...well the pictures explain it all.

I dare you!
No pics for this one. All I can say is the BEST invention EVER is on my side. Get a Web Cam and Yahoo! Messenger me! Even if you don't have a web cam, Y! Messenger me! WE can talk, for FREE (I won't have International charges), through the computer-waybetter! Do it, I dare you once again!
It's cold here!
OK, so I'm jealous of myself now because we have the BEST spot of all in the Inner Harbor of Victoria. I liked our other location, but there was something missing...no privacy for me. Too many people walking by, I mean gawking by... I don't have all the answers of the passersby; therefore it becomes uncomfortable for me to stand anywhere near Wanderbird. Now it is all better. We have a perfect view of the Empress Hotel and the Parliament building and at sunset it is pure heavenly! OK, let me let you down softly...it is already freakin' COLD here. Talkin' cold. Lower 50's late afternoon and frosty overnight (COLD)!!
New Computer!!
I couldn't be happier! Mike went out yesterday to buy an antenna for the wireless on his slowly dieing computer...and came back with a brand new lap top! It is amazingly fast, has a memory card holder (I know all new computers have this), and I can spend only seconds checking my e-mail instead of close to an hour...relief!! Anyway, pretty sure I will keep up with my blog a little better now that I don't have to wait hours for one picture to download. Oh yeah, did I mention he surprised me with local chocolate and peanut butter too? Man, what a great man!!
I am so excited about the computer, I couldn't sleep! I figured out how to use the web cam with a good friend of mine last night and woke up at 4:00am to play!! It feels like Christmas!

Canadian Thanksgiving
Sorry there is no picture to go along with this. I haven't blogged in awhile because I haven't taken any new pictures. I figure no pictures and a blog is better than no blog at all? We are now back in Victoria. We went to WA last week to get fuel and pick up some friends. They left today after an awesome weekend!! We are now staying at the marina right in front of the Empress Hotel downtown Victoria...a picture of the Empress in the fall will follow. It is really beautiful!!
Tomorrow is Thanksgiving in Canada. We are going to a friend's house for a yummy T-Giving dinner! I'm bringing Sticky Finger's recipe Spinach and artichoke dip, green bean casserole, and devilled eggs....can't wait!
