Canadian Thanksgiving

Sorry there is no picture to go along with this. I haven't blogged in awhile because I haven't taken any new pictures. I figure no pictures and a blog is better than no blog at all? We are now back in Victoria. We went to WA last week to get fuel and pick up some friends. They left today after an awesome weekend!! We are now staying at the marina right in front of the Empress Hotel downtown Victoria...a picture of the Empress in the fall will follow. It is really beautiful!!
Tomorrow is Thanksgiving in Canada. We are going to a friend's house for a yummy T-Giving dinner! I'm bringing Sticky Finger's recipe Spinach and artichoke dip, green bean casserole, and devilled eggs....can't wait!

Dexter's new girlfriend, Carolina

I took Dexter with me to Mike and Sara's house where he met his latest girlfriend. We felt guilty watching them, it resembled a doggy porn! I had a wonderful time visiting with them and mmmm the dinner Mike cooked was fabulous!!! Carolina didn't even mind Dexter sleeping in her bed, even though he doesn't fit.

Burt and Ernie...

I want this kitty so bad! He showed up at my mom's house one night and has not left. She named him Burt to go with her dog, Ernie. He slept with me for 2 nights. He likes to sleep with his little head right under your chin. There is nothing better than a purring kitten sleeping with you!! I LOVE HIM!!

Ahh, so happy to be on the East Coast!!!!

I've been traveling since last Tuesday...2 nights in Seattle, 3 nights in Raleigh, 1 night in Wilmington, and currently 2 nights in Charleston. I am so happy to be back home!! I have had such a wonderful time back. The wedding I went to (Mike's sister) was one of the most fun and beautiful weddings I've ever been to. I had a wonderful time meeting his family. Of course my time in Wilmington was a blast! We are all going to miss Mike Tyrell and wish him the best in Germany!! My time in Charleston has been great. I have not been able to see everyone that I had hoped to, there is just not enough time in the day. I do have Dexter with me-so happy to have him for a few days! I take him to Myrtle Beach tomorrow and then back to Wilmington. Then I'm on to Sumter for a golf tournament, then maybe Florence, and finally Columbia. I had so much fun with everyone that I was able to see and truly miss those that I didn't.

I'm Back!

Finally! We are back in Victoria and I now have the Internet, so check back more often! We enjoyed our stay on the anchor at different locations throughout the gulf islands of British Columbia. I am happy to be back in Victoria, where I have access to all of life's amenities like haircuts and pedicures. I plan on getting both this week.

Whale Watching

Whales. I did see whales yesterday, but darn it you can't take a picture to save your life! I'm disappointed to let you know that I do not have any pictures of whales to show you. How about another of harbor seals...you can't get tired of those anytime soon. My dad discovered this sea star hanging out on the side of the dock. Now that is one cool mamba jamba!! No worries, we didn't harm "him" in our investigation.

Victoria

We made it to Victoria! We finally have Internet service (for a few days anyway). We are staying in the Inner Harbor of Victoria until Tuesday and then headed up island to stay out on the anchor somewhere. It will be an adventure, kinda like camping-in style of course! We will probably be on anchor for 2 weeks.

My dad and Wanda are in town for a visit. We have had an awesome time! We are going whale watching today-I'm so excited!! I hope I'm able to take great pictures of Orcas, so check back soon.

Check out our dinner...mmmm. I had a dream I was having a heart attack because the lobster was stuck in my rib cage under my heart-HELP!
